Recycle your plastic & Raise money for charity!
Recycle & Raise, brought to you by DCW Polymers is a recycling and fundraising initiative introduced to turn plastic into funds for charities!
Please wash and save us your plastic bottle tops and donate to DCW Polymers, Dartmoor Zoo or Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter!
All materials donated to Recycle & Raise appeal will be sent to our plastic reprocessing centre in Exeter, where we will shred the plastics and manufacture our own recycled plastic furniture and fence posts! All profits raised will be donated to our two chosen charities – Dartmoor Zoo and Life Chance Trust!
Our Chosen Charities
Life Chance Trust – Giving local children a second chance
Life Chance Trust aims to provide mentoring and life skills training, therapeutic, practical and financial support to young people for whom trauma in early childhood has caused emotional, behavioural or educational difficulties that may exclude them from many of the traditional pathways to training and employment.
For these young people, growing up has been especially hard, and navigating the journey to becoming happy, healthy, safe and independent adults is a major challenge. They shouldn’t have to face that challenge alone.
Dartmoor Zoological Society
Dartmoor Zoological Park is a unique zoo set in 33 acres of beautiful parkland on the outskirts of Plymouth. The Zoo’s CEO Benjamin Mee wrote a book about buying the zoo called We Bought A Zoo, which was later became the subject of a major Hollywood film starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johannson! The Zoo registered as a charity in 2014 which has strengthened it’s future and opened up new and exciting opportunities. DCW has worked closely with Dartmoor Zoo since our MD became a trustee of the charity, and we have been in partnership with them for Recycle & Raise ever since it began in 2019!
How the funds will be split
All plastic donations we collect will be split 50/50 with Dartmoor Zoo and Life Chance Trust!
We can provide a full audit trail of all plastic incoming to the processing plant so we know exactly how much plastic has been donated.
