FAQs

Our products are made out of 100% Recycled Plastic, specifically Polypropylene which we recycle from UK businesses. This is a very durable polymer and the best material we have found for this use.

All of our products are handmade in Exeter, Devon, where we carry out the whole process from shredding the plastic all the way through to building the benches.

All items are a dark grey, except the Atlantic which is a limited edition bench which has blue planks. This is down to the recycling process, as we are a plastic recycling company we can’t guarantee which colours of plastics will come to us for recycling. Therefore, we mix all of the colours together and it comes out in Charcoal Grey. This is also a benefit as it’s a timeless colour so will look fantastic for years to come without going out of fashion!

All of our products are treated with a special UV additive that reduces the chance of fading in the sun. We also use a high proportion of black plastic in the blend which is naturally UV resistant. The items may fade slightly over their lifespan, but only to a lighter shade of grey. They may get slightly warm in the sun, but it’s not too hot to sit on. It’s not as bad as leather seats in a hot car!
